The Vaporfly 4 is a mileage-eating machine that is now even lighter. Nike reduced weight with the carbon fiber Flyplate and ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole, delivering race-day speed without losing performance. The result is a refined racing shoe trusted by runners from the mile to the marathon.
Full speed
The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate has a steeper angle than in the Vaporfly 3 and is combined with a smaller heel-to-toe drop to provide a dynamic push-off feeling during running.
Lighter foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, has become even lighter. Stretching from heel to toe, it provides even more energy return than before thanks to a slight reduction in midsole thickness, delivering a springy, lightweight feel.
Even lighter weight
The specially designed mesh upper offers greater comfort while maintaining lightness and a more even fit. We reduced the size of the heel counter and tongue to further cut down the shoe's weight.
Lightness
A bulge in the heel sole helps reduce weight on the inside of the foot and provides a more stable run. Nike reduced the outsole weight by using thinner rubber than in the Vaporfly 3 model.
